Top - New Look
Bra - Urban Outfitters
Skort - Zara
Bag - New Look

This could easily be somewhere exotic right? Right. But it was actually in North Wales! I went there for a spontaneous day out with my friend Laura (see her super awesome and quirky blog here) on one of my days off a couple of weeks ago. I actually was wearing a different top when I left, but it was so hot I had to change into something cooler!

Hellooooooo, or as they say in America... helloooooo.

I have recently come back from an amazing trip to America and seeing as I have been a terrible fashion blogger/student and spent nearly everyday since in my pyjamas, (holiday blues in full swing) I thought I would share a few classic tourist snaps with the internet.

I'll begin by telling you not to panic/glaze over, as this will not be a long in depth description of each day, because apparently "this is boring Kayleigh", "shut up about America Kayleigh", "nobody cares anymore Kayleigh" is a common opinion amongst people who know me. And also people who don't.

So basically myself and three of my non-fashion student home friends went to America on a bit of a road trip type of holiday. We started off in New York City, then train-ed (that's a word) it to Washington, DC. Flew to Las Vegas from there, and then drove to LA and on to San Francisco.

There are many stories that I could ramble on about and bore you with, but all I have to say really about the holiday is if you ever have the chance yourself, DO IT! We booked everything individually ourselves (and when I say we, I mean my best bud, mother of the group and top organiser Sophie) but I also know there are some good package deals out there too. You've just got to know where to look. We used websites such as hotels.com, their "collect ten nights, get one free" policy came in handy more than once! And also Kayak.co.uk is another good place to look.

So if you have the right company and enough money saved/borrowed (the bank of Muth and Farth), then the country will not disappoint!

Even if you do end up driving for EIGHTEEN HOURS from Vegas to San Francisco, the day after a DJ set by Calvin Harris in the Hakkisan (he is so worth it), because "it's definitely a good idea to go back to Vegas for a second time", "we're not making a drunken mistake are we? Nooooo".

I don't know about you but I find that sometimes the pastel trend can be a bit daunting. Most trends which make their way into high-street stores I find are relatively easy to wear in some way or another. But with this one it's different. Whether it's because I'm living in Wales and the weather we get dictates the colour clothes I wear (as in dark autumnal colours and black) or it's the risk of walking around like a giant marshmallow or a drumstick lollipop, I have found myself avoiding the pastel trend like the plague. I thought by the time the A/W collections came into store last year it would be the last I saw of pastel clothing. But no. It's come back again and I feel that this time I really should give it a go seeing as it's going to be sticking around longer than I thought.
I've been browsing Pinterest for some pastel outfit inspiration and I came across some amazing 60's fashion photography featuring pastel garments. Although I don't think the head-to-toe pastel look is for me, unlike blogger Charlotte Fisher from Things I do, think and buy who manages to pull it off so well every time.
So instead here are some images which are tempting me to delve into the trend by wearing one statement pastel garment.

I think it's safe to say that my bank is going to hate me after looking at all these fabulous outfits!

So us girls here at Atlast have had the busiest and most stressful of weeks! It was the hand in of one of our last modules of our second year on Friday so we were frantically doing our work so that we could submit in time. I think it's safe to say that Kayleigh did the last minute cram in true all-nighter style the most so hi-5 to her! (I personally can't do that as I would literally have an actual breakdown)

ANYWAY, that is all over now.. pheeeeeeeeew! So much relief. We can now do things like paint our nails or watch E4 without feeling bad for not doing work. Me and Molly were on that as soon as we could. Now I have pretty lilac nails unlike the past two weeks of having to look at my hideously chipped sparkly nails.

We haven't blogged in a while because of this but I'm sure we will have some outfit posts up soon! But in the meantime here are some images of what I've been up to this weekend. Enjoy.
