Happy Humpday!

I visited Cornwall at the weekend to see to some business at my grandparents old house. Luckily the light was beautiful so we decided to take some cheeky shots along the way.
There is something rather magical about Cornwall around this time of year. There's hardly anyone around except for the odd nutter and their surfboard, but between the patchy light and the mist the rolling hills just take your breath away.

I'm feeling quite inspired by matte-grey and monochrome palettes at the moment, which could come from the dull colours of winter and the vintage-style pieces rolling around my wardrobe. Having recently visited London I've myself opting for clean cuts and moving away from the clustered, floral prints and brown leather found typically in country-wear. I threw this outfit together as a mashup between keep-me-warm-please and hobo-chic (hence the trainer/dress combo). This felt coat was the afore-mentioned purchase I made in Birmingham last weekend from Harper & Lewis vintage and I am in love. It's such a good season transitional piece as it's pretty warm, but the cut gives it a slightly less wintery feel letting me take it over to a pre S/S 16' look. Plus you can throw it on over anything and it looks beaut!

I like featuring what Sophie is wearing too if she's around when I'm taking snaps, she's got a fab style and I loved her hair this day!

Oh my gosh has it been a whole year already?

So we're back! Or at least one of us is.. Sorry we haven't posted in so long but there has been sooo much going on.

So we've finished our final year at university and graduated USW Fashion Promotion (class of 2015) and moved out into the working world, how scary.
I'm now working for Ted Baker in Bristol, but have my sights set on the bright lights of London Town and hopefully will move up there sometime soon to properly kick off my career in Fashion. Stay tuned for more info on getting a graduate job in the fashion industry!

I've also been making an effort to keep up my fitness since leaving uni as I have given up cheerleading. Surprsingly I have lost approx 12lbs since leaving, so I might start throwing in the odd fitness feature every now and then if you guys don't mind!

I visited Birmingham yesterday with my mum and sister. Sophie (featured below) is a dancer at The Royal Ballet school and she regularly trains in Birmingham, giving me loads of good shopping opportunities while we're up in the centre of the city.

I found a beautiful little Vintage shop right in the heart of The Bullring called Harper & Lewis and bought a stunning, felt coat for £10 (!!!) which I will make an effort to feature on another post. I also managed to snap some quick photos of Sophie's outfit before she jetted off to her dance classes for the day. Sophie and I share quite a similar taste in fashion and we're also similar sizes now so we share lots of our clothes. The cropped jumper she's wearing below is my recent purchase from New Look and I think it looks great with this outfit.
I love these printed trousers we picked up from Prettylittlething, they're elasticated but not skin tight so they allow a little wiggle room and don't give you an awkward wedgie. Working for Ted Baker has got my eyes keenly peeled for large, floral prints this spring/summer. There are some really stunning prints coming out and I am all over that.

You might also notice we are wearing the same shoes... nothing like keeping it in the family! Haha twinnies! We do love a good Office boot..
